spreadIn the past, I always looked at week 1 as a hole that I would have to crawl out of all year.  Well turn the page and away we go!  I got off to a career best 11-5 start this year and I’m looking for the big year!

Last week I played many favorites and traditionally better teams.  I got burned going against a couple of home dogs but you can’t win them all!  This week I am leaning towards a more balanced selection of dogs and favs.

CAR (-3) vs. CHI
BUF (+6) @ JAC (changed my mind on this one)
KC (-4) vs. OAK (changed this one too)
MIN (+2) vs. IND
NO (-0.5) @ WAS
NYG (-9) @ STL
GB (-3) @ DET
TEN (+1.5) @ CIN
SEA (-8) vs. SF (changed this one too)
ARI (-7) vs. MIA
ATL (+8.5) @ TB
NYJ (-2.5) vs. NE
DEN (+2.5) vs. SD
BAL (+4.5) @ HOU
PIT (-6) @ CLE
PHI (+6.5) @ DAL

Good Luck!

SurvivorWow, we almost saw a mass exodus off the island when KC was driving for the tying touchdown in Foxborough on Sunday.  I said in my Week 1 survivor pick that I thought this would be one of the fastest pool deciding years ever.  It looks like the Colts and the Chargers obliged as my pools lost about 25% of the players in the first week.

Teams Used:
Week 1 - NE
- Survived Brady injury

The trend of tough pickin’s continues this week as the schedule is full of potholes and detours.   Here are the 5 games that stick out as potential Week 2 picks… NYG @ STL, ARI vs. MIA, SEA vs. SF, PIT @ CLE and TB vs. ATL.  Well, we all know my feelings on road teams so that eliminates NYG and PIT right off the bat.  I think both are safe but something tells me STL and CLE are not as bad as they showed in Week 1.  I can’t take a team that has no one to throw the ball to so goodbye SEA.  And the Bucs will be starting Brian Griese this week so I’m not a big fan of TB either.  Surprisingly to some that leaves ARI this week.  I really think they are a playoff team this year and will be a 10-6 team due to their week schedule.  Look for ARI to get past MIA as my Week 2 pick!

 Good Luck!
