SurvivorWith the difficult NFL Week 2 behind us in the rear view mirror let’s reflect on what we’ve learned so far.  One, picking road teams to win might pay off but they will make you sweat.  Two, when divisional foes face off you can throw all the records out the door.  Three, teams that are 2 and 6 point favorites are usually begging for dead money to be bet on them.  Okay, maybe the first two are more helpful to Survivor league picks but I’m guessing some of you might want to use that information some time this season.

Using the above knowledge, here’s the games that I will stay away from this week…NE vs. MIA, GB vs. DAL, TEN vs. HOU, SEA vs. STL, IND vs. JAC and BAL vs. CLE.  The games that I considered are BUF vs. OAK, CHI vs. TB, SF vs. DET, NYG vs. CIN and SD vs. NYJ.   Anybody remember the lowly Dolphins coming into Chicago and beating them silly.  I remember that too and I fear the Bucs.  I never bet against Favre on Monday night.  I think SF will score on DET but I think Lions will return the favor.  I really like the Bills this year in a win-able AFC East but I like OAK’s running game too.  So that leaves me with the NYG over CIN.  I like the way the Giants are playing and I think the Bengals are on the verge of self-destruction.
