SurvivorOk.  I’m embarrasingly late this week but it’s a busy time at work.  The Jets made a bid to give us all heart attacks but they came through in the end.  This week I see the easiest winner to be a well rested Chicago Bears over DET!!

Previous Weeks and Teams Used:
Week 1 - New England
Week 2 - Arizona
Week 3 - NY Giants
Week 4 - Dallas (loser)
Week 5 - Carolina
Week 6 - Washington (loser)
Week 7 - Houston
Week 8 - NY Jets

I’m predicting big things for these players in the coming weeks!

1. WR Ted Ginn Jr. - Looks like he is figuring out the NFL!

2. QB Pennington - As Ginn goes, so does Chad

3. RB Torain - He may not play this week but next..

4. K Josh Brown - He’s hitting his stride as Rams improve

5. WR Matt Jones - Getting many looks from his QB

My goal was to get to 80% accuracy this past week.  I did pretty damn good with Shaub, Moore, Rhodes, Bryant, ROyal and Brown.  My only miss was the Dolphins.  I also hit it big with my Benches as well.  Here’s a look at this week’s Starts and Benches.

I’m still going strong with my 4th week in a row with a winning record.  Week 7 was not as easy as I thought it would be but it still resulted in another 8-6 record to pull my season totals to 57-43-3.  I was really surprised that the Jets and Colts laid eggs but that’s life in the NFL!!  Looking at Week 8, yes Week 8, I think that the games have gotten more difficult to pick once again.  I’m not going to be as confident as last week but I’m on a roll so I’m on a positive vibe already.Sportsbook

SurvivorOk.  I’m back on track and gaining forward speed again.  Houston jumped all over DET and held on for the win.  The obvious pick is the Redskins this week but I think the Lions have a fighting chance so I’ll opt for the drum roll please…………New York Jets.  Yes, I’m picking the Jets to take down a miserable Chiefs team that is on it’s third QB for the second time this season!!

I’m predicting big things for these players in the coming weeks!

1. WR Donnie Avery - Rams are waking up offensively

2. WR D. Mason - Developing chemistry with Flacco

3. QB Garcia - Getting control of offense without Galloway

4. DST Rams - Look what they did to Skins and Boys lately?

5. TE Zach Miller - Seems to be favored target of Russell

Ok this weekly blog article has seen some serious ups and downs this year!  All you have to do is look at the RB start recommendations last week.  Buckhalter soared while McClain was a gutterball.  Mercedes Lewis had a decent week while Campbell and Frerotte were dogs.  Well, I’m aiming for 80% accuracy this week.  Here’s a look at this week’s Starts and Benches.

QB - Romo (I live in Big D, he ain’t playin’!)
RB - F. Gore (Giants are an angry team)
WR - Roy Williams (decoy for TO)
TE - Winslow (still iffy)
K - R. Longwell
DST - Packers

I’m rolling now.  My third week in a row with a winning record.  Week 6 saw me pulling in an 8-6 record to pull my season totals to 49-37-3.  I should start charging for this advice!!  Reality check.  This is about the time I get too cocky and take a hit on the season record.  However, I hold out hope for my 4th in a row.  Games seemed eerily easy to pick this week.Sportsbook

SurvivorOops!!  I was right in telling you to stay away from the Giants and be careful of the Vikings.  However I blew chunks on the Redskin pick.  Just when you thought it was safe to pick an NFC East team.  Yuck.  The obvious pick is the Giants this week but since I’ve used them already, I’ll go for the Houston Texans playing a miserable DET team that can’t pull off the upset when it’s handed to them!!
