I’m predicting big things for these players in the coming weeks!

1. RB D. Rhodes - Couple of good starts in next 4 weeks

2. RB M. Pittman - Seems to be in control of DEN backfield

3. QB D. Anderson - If someone gave up on him, time to get him back!

4. DST Houston - Next 4 weeks: DET, CIN, MIN, BAL (Ka…..ching!)

5. TE V. Davis - Coming on strong!

Last week I talked about recognizing that the NFL season is in full swing by noticing the changes going on from team to team.  This week the focus is on injuries.  And really it’s on injured QBs to be exact.  Seems like every other team’s QB has issues this year.  Can they be overcome?  Only time will tell.  Here’s a look at some spot starts and rare benches in week 6!

Wow, I had back to back winning weeks.  Once again I had trouble with Sunday and Monday night’s games but I finished the week at 7-5-2.  It sure helped that Houston and Baltimore rolled over late.  My total for the year has run to 41-31-3.  In looking at week 6, I see trouble brewing.  Games just seem hard to forecast this week.Sportsbook

CHI (-2.5) vs. ATL
CAR (+2) @ TB
STL (+13.5) @ WAS
NYJ (-6) vs. CIN
IND (-4.5) vs. BAL
MIN (-13.5)  vs. DET
OAK (+7.5) @ NO
HOU (-3) vs. MIA
JAC (+3.5) @ DEN
PHI (-5) @ SF
ARI (+5.5) vs. DAL
GB (+2.5) @ SEA
NE (+6)  @ SD
CLE (+8) vs. NYG

SurvivorBack to picking a winner.  Carolina was just too easy last week.  This week is easy as well.  I will throw all my marbles on WAS to beat STL.  It won’t be a blowout but it will be a solid 10 point win.  Stay away from MIN vs. division foe and NYG on the road.

I’m predicting big things for these players in the coming weeks!

1. DST Saints - But only if Special Teams scores get you point.

2. WR D. Hester - He may score twice on DET.

3. QB Cassel - Time to reconsider him as option

4. QB Orton - He’s got DET in front him.  Caching! .

5. TE Shiancoe - Frerotte’s fav target in red zone.

You know how you can tell you are well into the NFL season?  It’s when teams feel the need to change something.  Last year it was when Cleveland changed to D. Anderson and sent Frye to Seattle.  This year it appears change will come in the form of coaching changes.  Although I agree with the one in STL (Linehan lost complete control of that team), I don’t agree at all with the Kiffin firing.  I can’t wait to see where that kid resurfaces.  I just hope he gets a chance to make Al Davis feel pain before he withers away.  After getting down from my soapbox, I’ll admit that my starts were so bad last week that I need to make some system changes myself.  Here’s a look at some spot starts and rare benches in week 5!

Ok, ok I’m late with this post by 2 days but to my defense I am extremely busy with work these days.  And I had a great monthly poker tournament win.  And we had our annual garage sale this morning.  Other than that, this week was easy.  Looking back on week 4, I had a terrific week. I started out 7-1 with the early games and coasted to a 9-4 record.  It was looking even better than than at halftime of the late games.  But Oakland and St. Louis were brought back to reality.  My total for the year has fallen to 34-26-1.  Sportsbook

SurvivorI don’t know if I’m allowed to write this article anymore after my ridiculous disregard for my own rules and subsequent boot from my survivor league this past weekend.   Systems only work if you actually abide by what they produce.  Clearly, I should have taken either the NY Jets or Tennessee Titans based on the system and for some dumb reason I went with the Cowboys.  I broke rule #2.  Thou shall not pick a winner from a divisional game.  Anyways, I’ll keep writing as I’m sure I’ll get into a loser pool sooner or later.   I will say that I did outplay, outwit and outlast over 75% of my pool before I fell.

This week is easy to me.  Carolina should kill KC as they got their first win out of the way and then go on the road.  Stay away from everything else.
