I took a week off to get a baseball trip out of the way but I’m back to blog about another topic today. There are several old men to consider in this year’s draft. Well, ok, there only football old. Here’s a list of guys that have been in the league for at least ten years or are above the age of 34 that you might take in your draft.
QBs
Kurt Warner - Best of the bunch, Should be taken in 5th/6th due to age but will go in 4th
Matt Hasselbeck - Best value pick, You can get him in 9th or 10th round I bet
Kerry Collins - Fantasy backup with situational value, take in last round in 12 team league
Brett Favre - No more than a Fantasy backup, please don’t take him higher than 12th
Jake Delhomme - Good backup value in certain situations but on a run first team
Jeff Garcia - Unless the Raiders experience a lobotomy, don’t draft him
WRs
Derrick Mason - Solid 4th receiver, will have big days against tough run Ds, take in 10th
Issac Bruce - Son’t see him holding up, could be his swan song, don’t draft
Torry Holt - Love him late in the draft as 3rd or 4th receiver
RB
Fred Taylor - He’ll have one or two good games but not worth the wait to me, maybe 14th round flyer
