For the past 8 years, our league has been hosted on Fantasy Commissioner Web by First Place Sports. As many times as we thought we would find greener pastures elsewhere, we ultimately end up back at www.webleaguemanager.com. It’s hard to explain really. It’s almost like your first love. You know all of her shortcomings, yet you only remember the good times. Well, that may not be fair to this site, as they have addressed their issues over the years. There price as swelled as well from $50 early on to upwards of $89 now. Let’s take a deeper look at this site’s offerings….

First of all, it has come a long ways in it’s league customization. For the first few years we were on this site, we had to calculate our special team’s points separately and manually add them later. That is a thing of the past as this site allows you to input pretty much any schema for your league. I will admit that it’s not the most user friendly but once you get in there, you can figure it out.
Ok, so it’s not the prettiest interface but I will say everything that you may want to access is really just a rollover away. Go to the main screen and you can get to the chat, the message board, the reports, owner information, schedule, archives, etc. with one touch. That’s one of the things that keeps me coming back.Another plus, for me, is the league drafting application that allows you to have members from anywhere draft online. That’s particularly helpful for our league as we have members in other cities. Then, once your finished, you have all of the players loaded into their teams and your ready for transactions or generating a schedule.
Finally, I could go on and on but the very best thing about First Place Sports is their owner James Serra. He responds to all emails personally and usually within a few hours. I really don’t think he sleeps. You can’t beat great customer service and that’s what ultimately keeps us coming back. See you tomorrow with another review.
